Where do you find Rimu?
Rimu grows throughout the North and South Island and Stewart Island. The largest trees are found on the West coast of the South Island, the biggest trees tend to be found in the Podocarp forest near Taupo.
Why is it important to Maori?
Because it is a native tree, it is used for furniture such as tables and chairs.
What uses does it have?
The aromatic leaves of this conifer were used in vapour baths.
Why is Rimu the best tree in the school?
Because it is a very strong tree and the tallest tree in the school.
